My original song on the innovation of the telegraph:
Ting-Ting, that’s how the bell goes,
When the telegraph was first invented,
Everybody wanted to get it,
It was made in 1835,
By Samuel Morse, here it goes.
The system was very practical,
Signals were transported by wire,
He invented the Morse code,
Telegraph girl,
Ting-Ting, that’s how the bell goes!
It was very important,
Messages could be delivered,
To know if there was war or not,
Ting, Ting, that’s how the bell goes!
During the Civil War, the telegraph took on huge importance,
The south made the first use of the telegraph to rush troops to battle,
General McClelland used a telegraph,
to send information from a balloon concerning troop positions during a battle.
Ting, Ting, that’s how the bell goes!
